This feature is used to restrict the type of telephone call a guest can make from a hotel room. The types of calls available are:
Internal
Local
Long Distance
Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
The attendant enters the type of call restriction for a guest in the Call Restriction field of the guest room display. Options 1, 2 and 3 can be used for special call restrictions that the hotel may wish to impose. Class of Restriction (COR) groups may be programmed for the specific requirements of the customer. See Automatic Route Selection for further information on programming COR groups.
All Guest Services functions, including call restrictions, are unavailable on the 5540 IP Console in a Clustered Hospitality environment.

Enter Class of Restriction values for Internal, Local, Long Distance, Option 1, Option 2 or Option 3 calls.
5540 IP Console
Enter Guest service mode.
Type the room extension number.
Press the ENTER softkey.
Press the STATUS softkey.
Press Call Rest. repeatedly until the desired restriction is displayed.
Press the SET softkey to save the change.
Press the EXIT softkey.
Select Guest Service.
Enter the room number using the computer keyboard.
Select Search.
Select the desired type of call restriction from the Call Restriction list.
